Quince Cherry Compote

Quince and cherry compote

Preparation Time: 30 minutes.

- 4 qty. Quince
- 500 gr.18 oz. Sour Cherry Frozen
- 5 qty. Sugar Tablespoon (If desired, you can add some more after tasting it.)
- 2000 ml.66.5 fl. oz. Water At Room Temperature


1. Wash quinces, peel and remove the seeds, cut into cubes.
2. Transfer them into a large pot.
3. Add water and frozen cherries. Cook for until quinces are softened.
4. Add sugar, stir and cook for 2 more minutes and remove from the heat.
5. Let it cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator after it cools.
6. Serve cold. Enjoy!

Footnote: In this recipe you can add any other fruits. For example, I add apple and pear time to time. Adding clove or cinnamon stick also gives extra flavor. You can also add dried fruits like dried berries, raisin and apricot.
Tips: I use water at room temperature. If it needs you can add boiled water during cooking time.
